In this fast-paced, vulnerable solo show, saucy stand-up and serial spiller Sophia Jane Wilkof takes the audience on a journey through the messes—literal and metaphorical—that have shaped her life.
Named after a term coined by Sophia's dad to describe the stain that appears on her clothes no matter what she eats, Liggy Sauce is a hilarious and heartfelt exploration of how some people are just destined to leave a mark.

The Liggy Sauce Journey
After a two-week run of my debut solo show Gut Feelings at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe, I set out to write Liggy Sauce, a show that went beyond standup, blending storytelling, comedy, and personal reflection into a theatrical experience that’s messy, real, and unapologetically me (with some singing and rapping thrown in!).
Liggy Sauce premiered at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where international audiences responded with laughter, reflection, and even tears. I was blown away how many people approached me wanting to hug me after the show—a reminder that most of us can relate to feeling messy, overwhelmed, or just a little out of step. I feel like I have just read through somebody's diary in superb, intense speed. What I have discovered, although heartbreaking at times, is a journey about a beautiful girl with hopes and fears. This was my favorite show I saw at The Fringe!!! Sophia shares her story with such intense honesty, heart, and hilarity (not to mention the multiple songs that had me on the floor). If you are able to catch LIGGY SAUCE, I cannot recommend it enough. I laughed, I cried, and I left feeling hopeful.
An hour of laugh out loud bits, and heartfelt stand up. Bonus singing and props engages the audience in a funny and meaningful experience.
This show packed pathos, punchlines and profundity into one jam packed hour. Sophia weaved a compelling tale and her storytelling brought the audience along for the journey. It was also cohesive and led to a beautiful crescendo and finale!
